Apartment 3 Waterford, The Square, Grantown on Spey An ideal apartment for a holiday in the Cairngorms National Park, the Highlands of Scotland. A first floor 3 bedroom self-catering accommodation apartment in the Scottish Highlands, originally built of local granite in 1900 and completely renovated in 2006. Located in the town of Grantown on Spey in the Scottish Highlands it is entirely self contained and is accessed via an entry phone system. The holiday apartment is conveniently located and is within easy walking distance to the Grantown golf course, woodlands, shops, bars and restaurants. The self-catering apartment is available for rentals on a weekly basis for a vacation, holiday and short breaks.
The Cairngorm National Park area has many sites to see and activities to particpate in, such as ski-ing, snowboarding, golf, fishing, hill walking, bird watching, canoeing, mountain biking and white water rafting. The nearest golf course is only a 300 metres from the apartment and there are some beautiful forest walks which also begin only 300 metres from the front door. The local woodland [photos] was planted with Scots pine in 1760 and many of the trees are still the originals. In the woods you can see Crossbill, Capercaillie, Red Squirrel and Pine Marten if you are lucky.
Grantown on Spey is a good centre for all types of activity and is well served with shops, bars and restaurants. It is within easy driving distance of The Lecht and Cairngorm ski centres which also have summer activities. There are 16 golf courses within 40minutes drive of Grantown on Spey, and Grantown's own golf course is an excellent course [photos]. The square in Grantown acts as the centre for many events such as motor rallies, classic car events and the celebrated New Year party with Highland dancing and fireworks. This is a great location for a self-catering holiday in the Cairngorm National Park having the advantages of being within easy walking distance of amenities and centrally situated for touring. Why not bring your dogs, it is a great place for walks. All in all this is great self-catering accommodation in a good location for touring the Scottish Highlands, relaxing, golfing, walking and enjoying your vacation or holiday home.
